DMP + Digital Watchdog Spectrum Integration

Altora Security evaluates DMP XR/XT panels and Digital Watchdog Spectrum IPVMS for supported video verification and coordinated alarm, access and surveillance workflows.

Can DMP and DW Spectrum work together?

Yes, supported DMP and DW Spectrum configurations can connect alarm workflows with video. As an Authorized DMP Dealer, Altora verifies the actual panel, software and integration path before promising features.

  • Inventory DMP XR/XT panel models, firmware and account services.
  • Review DW Spectrum version, server, cameras and licenses.
  • Confirm support through Virtual Keypad or an appropriate supported connector; not every panel exposes the same functions.

What does video verification change?

Video can give authorized operators context for an alarm, but the central-station workflow and dispatch policy must explicitly support it.

  • Associate camera views with the relevant alarm areas and doors.
  • Check event timing, clip availability and permission boundaries.
  • Test operator access and escalation procedures with the monitoring provider.

Does integration create one universal interface?

Not necessarily. Supported integrations can simplify video viewing and event review, while alarm programming, access administration and surveillance management may remain in separate tools.

  • Define the required live video, recorded video and event actions.
  • Treat XR access capabilities and XT configurations separately.
  • Commission the agreed features and document unsupported functions.
Practical Answers

DMP & Digital Watchdog Integration FAQs

Is this a native direct panel-to-camera connection?

Do not assume that. DMP documents DW Spectrum integration through supported services such as Virtual Keypad. Altora confirms the connection method and supported features for the equipment installed.

Are XR and XT panels interchangeable for integration?

No. Model, firmware, services and supported features differ. Altora evaluates each panel and does not assume XT offers XR access-control capabilities.

Does video guarantee police dispatch?

No. Dispatch depends on verification policy, local requirements, operator assessment and emergency service procedures. Integration alone does not guarantee response.

Can existing DW cameras and servers stay?

Compatible equipment can often remain after evaluation. Camera licensing, recording health, server capacity and software support are checked before the integration scope is agreed.
